I recorded audio for this behind the scenes interview with Maya Jama at the photoshoot for the cover of issue 02 of GAFFER magazine.
Altsasu
Premiered at the Edinburgh International Film Festival, Altsasu is a documentary short that I worked on as a Sound Designer and Composer.
“In the Basque town of Altsasu, the beds of seven young men lie empty. As the town celebrates its annual festival, Altsasu follows Igone as she copes with the imprisonment of her son Jokin and six others, convicted in a case which has been widely condemned as a miscarriage of justice.”
Director: Eoin Wilson. Producer: Irune Gurtubai & Ben Sharrock.
De Beers
I composed music for this De Beers short set in the Basque Country, which is now up on Instagram
“Inspired by the Dewdrop design, De Beers has partnered with artisans in the Basque Country to create shimmering hand blown glass spheres for the new April windows.”
Schön! | House Rules
I worked on music and sound design for this short for Schön! Magazine. Directed by Martin Senyszak
UPDATE!
It’s been a while since my last blog post! I’m currently involved on several projects at the moment (which I’ll post about soon), but in the meantime I’m planning to work on my latest showreel that I hope to get finished ASAP and upload here!
Drinks Ads Sound Design
Embedded below are some recent drink advertisements where I’ve worked on the sound design. Special thanks to Niall Webster (dp & editor).
The Thicket Podcast
“The Thicket” is a fictional podcast I edited. It follows the adventures of journalist Bryce, who leaves Brooklyn for a sleepy rural town called Robbinsville in North Carolina, a place with a booming zoo industry that promotes various newly created species of animals.
“Imagine a fictional ‘This American Life’ exploring the characters and events of a quirky Twin-Peaks-esque world.”
Episode 1 is now available on iTunes & SoundCloud, with the rest of the series to be released soon. More info can be found at https://www.thethicketpodcast.com
New year. New showreel.
I’ve just uploaded my latest showreel that features a bunch of animated and live action projects I’ve worked on over the past few years. Everything from a metro infographic to a vampire horror web series, from a cinema opening ident to a faulty hard drive full of sparks. You get the idea.
*Contains scenes of violence and some strong language.
Pikadero
This is an independent feature film set in the Basque country about a young couple who have trouble consummating their fledgling relationship in their parents’ homes. I helped out with the dialogue edit as well as doing the sound edit for the teaser video embedded below:
Hannah and the Moon
This was a university project where I worked on the sound design with Kate Charter (director) and Joe Atkinson (producer). After a successful film festival run (Berlinale, Toronto, Seattle, and many others), and picking up two BAFTA New Talent awards (“Animation” and “Best New Work”), it is now available to view online. Enjoy!
